Among the Redwoods

We pulled into the Redwood National Park campground just as the marine layer burned off, the giant trunks materializing out of the mist like something out of a storybook. Dazey fit neatly into site 14, her awning unfurling for the first time on the trip.
The first morning we brewed coffee on the two-burner and watched the fog roll back in. By afternoon we'd hiked the Fern Canyon loop and decided this is exactly the kind of slow travel we bought her for.
Tino spent most of the trip pressed against the window, deeply suspicious of trees taller than any he'd seen. We took it as a good sign that he eventually came out to sit on the dash.
Miles logged: 412. Nights camped: 4. Coffee consumed: immeasurable.
Life is better with a little Dazey.
